Weird… I’ve never seen it do that before..
Anyways, its not the same problem that I mentioned in my previous post. So I would suggest deleting and remaking partitoins, formatting and reinstalling windows.Check to make sure that there is only one copy of your windows folder on your computer (it didnt install in a new location). If there is more then one go and do what Dave said, but if you only have one it is only your boot loader that is wrong. This problem happens sometimes when you reinstall windows XP.. it will install it correctly, but it will create 2 copys of the boot loader, when there will actually only be one (both copys will boot to the same copy of windows). To fix this you can just edit your boot.ini file (C:boot.ini) and delete the lines for the second boot loader.
Away messages are stored in the Windows Registry… Something must have removed them somehow. It doesn’t sound like your entire AIM registry was deleted or else the screennames wouldn’t be listed on the login screen anymore.
It does this for me also.. the only way I have found to change this is to turn idle off (events tab in options).. I haven’t see how to change the time in Trillian… Maybe the next version will have this
And you are on Cable or DSL, right?
With Cable and DSL your upload speed is slower then your download speed, so you wont be able to send out files very fast, but you can recieve them quickly… on a T1 or T3 line, the upload and download speeds are relativly the same, so you would be able to send files faster (that is why she can send you stuff faster)Was this last night? MSN servers was having trouble last night.. Kicking people off often. They seem to be ok so far this afternoon.
I tried out one of the original releases of this program about a year ago… It looked a LOT different back then. It was just a simple window, didn’t have all that fancy stuff. Wasn’t bad but I didn’t really need another messenger, so it didn’t last long for me. I thought I had first heard about it here on BBB, but I did a search and couldn’t find it… guess it might have been somewhere else.

If you do go with using linux, you wont need anything like norton as you wont need antivirus software for linux. (viruses are a windows thing).
Like Dave said, its hard to get most win32 apps to work under linux even using programs like Wine. But a few good programs you can use are (some are included in mandrake, others you can google for)GIMP (Photo editing program)
