What firewall do you have? Have you tried turning it off?
It is also possible that some evil spyware made you connect via a proxy server.
To check if this is the case open Internet Explorer, click Tools, then Internet Options. Select the Connections tab then click your connection in the list and click settings.
Uncheck “Use a proxy server for this connection” and click ok twice.
Download, install and run Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy and check your pc for virusses.Good luck and hope this helped,

That volume control icon is most likely gone because the “Place volume icon in the taskbar” checkbox at your “Sound and Audio Devices” is unchecked. Sound and Audio Devices can be found at your Control Panel.
If it is checked your sound icon might be hidden, just click the button with a < in it then.Maybe this helps.

Paste in your browser and remove the * out of the link.
Aside of that you should be able to use hotmail fine with Firefox, Opera and Outlook.

It’s going to be one sided because most people don’t like to have their pc full of spyware. I know everybody can choose not to install it but still a lot of people just click next next out of ignorance or something.
I’m not sure which people I hate more, the ones that provide the spy/adware or the ones that take care of the clicking next without reading anything and whine afterwards.
Aren’t there other ways to earn some money, like showing ads (on your website) or ask people for a contribution if they like your program?
This might as well kill your program/income because alot of websites will tell their visitors not to install your program.Good luck anyway 🙂

If the option to delete the person is available when you right click on his/her e-mail in the allow or block list at privacy the person has deleted you.

This should work for removing any version of MSN Messenger:
Go to Start, then Run.
Type: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%infmsmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
