That message usually comes up when you entered too long of a screen name or any thing besides a number/letter, and next time save your buddy list before you delete it, reinstall AIM then it should work.
ah it seems all wireless devices have that problem, only if they are idle, and its happening with 4.x versions, for some reason
Yeah hes right, idle or default message, your mobile will come up, in the old days they used to just let you go idle, I dont like when they do that. The AIMMobile, does that automatically

No its not compatable, I have tested it on every verion of AIM and it works up into 5.5.x but not the later versions
