hm… this is strange… maybe it was the things I installed earlier… or something weird like that, but it works in IE now. I have sound and everything. still doesn’t work in firefox though. same error
also, I took a look at the FAQ and they basically said unmute your sound. thanks… very helpful… not. I haven’t sent them anything in the feedback form yet… maybe I should do that. thought I should say something though.ok… I understand now.
I’m still having problems though… I get an “does not exist” error, but I know it does exist. also… I try to access the computer I’m at through this process, but I get that same error still, but only when I use the ip address. I can use the computer name, and I get it fine.
another weird thing is that it works… but only in safe mode.update after the k-lite patch:
with firefox: I still have the same error, w/o the “press to continue” button
with opera: no error, but no sound
with IE: no error, but no soundoic, I had already changed the workgroup to what it is supposed to be, I just can’t see anybody, thats my problem.
also, I was in “my network places”, I was trying to see what computers I could see after I changed the workgroup.ok, here is an update…
the computer that I’m trying to connect to the workgroup is xp PRO. everything else is xp HOME… is there more things I need to do?also… the account I use has administrative privilages, but I tried to log in as safe mode anyway. there was an account called “administrator” that wasn’t there b4, so I logged in on that account. then everything was there, but when I was telling the tech team… the screensaver started, and when I moved the mouse, everything was gone! I tried “view”->”refresh”, but no luck… any ideas?
did he recently change any settings in the Display properties? is there any way that you can change the settings to… say 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768? (just to see what happens). if that doesn’t work, don’t forget to change it back.
I downloaded opera 9… and I got the error, but this time there was the “continue to my video” button. So I pressed that button, and the video worked, but still no sound.

ya, I can get sound of it when I play a music cd… if thats what u meant.

Same with my dad, he uses firefox also, and he has a little continue button at the bottom of his screen, and when he presses it… it works. I don’t have such a convenient little button :p

I think you guys are right… mostly cuz we don’t have school tomorrow for presidents day, and I know I’m not going to like Tuesday at all! so this week, Tuesday is the new Monday (If that makes any sense)

well… when I try to play it with firefox, I get a plugin warning that says “The cnn.com video experience is optimized for Windows Media Player 9 or above. No windows media player detected.” but I have the latest Windows Media player… I think its version 11.
I tried to install file in the above link and it didn’t help.
