TigerbladeParticipant
I figure I’ll let all of you be my beta testers, and then probably pick one up once it hits version 2 (which will almost certainly be cheaper and have more features).
😛
TigerbladeParticipantThis just means there’s going to be another deluge of groups named “BRING BACK THE OLD FACEBOOK” and “IF THIS GROUP GETS A MILLION MEMBERS FACEBOOK WILL BRING BACK THE OLD LOOK.”
The funny thing will be that it’ll be the same people that “protested” the last incarnation of Facebook. Some people don’t do well with change.
Me? Meh. I’m not really on Facebook enough to care one way or another.
TigerbladeParticipantYeah, I’m definitely going to be waiting a bit before getting a new phone. I’m just curious what the real story is on the phone that’s apparently made of cocaine unicorns as far as most of the media is concerned.
The Droid looks interesting, but doesn’t appear to be available through AT&T (and I’m not quite ready to switch, especially since I share a family plan).
TigerbladeParticipantTook me about 45 seconds to a minute. Not really that hard, assuming all the operations are just addition. Once you get the first line, the rest are easy.
TigerbladeParticipantSami, depending on who you live with, you don’t have to leave the house to find sticky floors. (I’m so glad I have my own place, with no roommates.)
TigerbladeParticipantWhen are you seeing a captcha? I’ve yet to see one on the forums.
TigerbladeParticipantThe budget theatre closest to me has two-dollar Tuesdays (though it’s now two-dollars-and-fifty-cents Tuesdays, but that doesn’t quite roll off the tongue) that I used to go to whenever there was something interesting. We saw Zombieland there a few weeks ago – absolutely hilarious.
Then the big theatre just down the street from me has $5 showings before noon on Saturdays and Sundays, even on the new releases. Spend $10 for Avatar on opening Friday night? How about half that the next morning?
And YES to the Netflix streaming. I suspended my subscription a few months ago (just got too busy to keep up with my queue) but I do miss the ability to stream movies to my blu-ray player (which is Netflix-compatible). SO nice.
TigerbladeParticipantI’m with Jeff on this. I couldn’t care less what kind of sandwich someone had for lunch today, but I use Twitter to follow trends in web development, social media (is using social media to track social media going to cause a universe implosion?), etc. It’s also a great place for amateur comedians to share material without having to be actual comedians.
I use Facebook less and less, but it really is a good way to keep up with friends, plan events, etc, especially if you don’t see each other all the time already. I still keep in touch with a lot of people I went to school with but don’t have enough to say to merit a long phone call. A quick post on their Facebook wall is sufficient.
TigerbladeParticipantI feel a surge of power.

TigerbladeParticipantSami… Amazon. Amazon.com: disgaea
TigerbladeParticipantThey’re saying the Large Hadron Collider isn’t working because the particles they’re trying to create are so abhorrent to nature that the effect of the particles ripples backwards through time to stop their own creation.
Seriously. I can’t make this stuff up.
Newsvine – A particle God doesn’t want us to discover? Physicists say the Collider could be getting sabotaged from the future to avert disasterTigerbladeParticipantPerhaps a little creepier than most of the stuff I listen to:

TigerbladeParticipantWhich book would this be in? I went through a phase earlier this year where I practically devoured books, so… can you pare it down? Doesn’t sound quite like “Fierce Invalids”…
TigerbladeParticipantAll over the place in genres lately… here’s my newest addiction:
