AImutation it your away message only goes to them once when they first IM you, if you IM them they never get the away message.
Disney posted a AImutation skin that is compatible with the old .41 version of AImutation.

Of course with AOL you never know, even after it happens…
Nothing there says DeadAIM application is going away.
“We are actually aware of (DeadAIM) and are working with its publisher. The DeadAIM software will soon be available through aim.com”
The jdennis.net site may go away not the DeadAIM program. If AOL wanted to get rid of DeadAIM then there would be no “working with its publisher”.
Maybe AOL has finally realized the true value of AIM add-on’s. Instead of trying to shut down every AIM related website.
speedy… just pick any of the files in your 1024 directory and rename it somename.zip then when you upzip it you should see smileys 🙂

That code is what you would need as the manifest.xml file for Monkey Smileys. You will also need to have all 16 GIF images for the each monkey emoticon. Copies of these GIF images are actually located on your PC look for a folder named 1024 under another older named bartcache. Under the 1024 folder you will see several files named like example: 0201D21165 rename the file to something.zip then extract it and you’ll find the various emoticon GIF images. You’ll have to search for the one that contains the Monkey Smileys.
Then just create your ARF file using the steps in BigBlueBall’s How to create an AIM Expressions.
I used to have all the smiley sets for download on my site but, the AOL police shut them down as an infrigement on their redistribution rights. Basically you have to create an expression but just for Smiley Sets.
The manifest.xml will look like this:

The ARF file would also have to include all 16 monkey smileys in their GIF format including a GIF called dropdown.
Plus if you think that is easy then you have to also meet one of AOL’s conditions in order to install Smiley Sets.
1) Have an AIM screen name that is also an AOL screen name, meaning that you are an AOL member. OR
2) Register your AIM screen name with AOL’s Expression service http://expressions.aol.com which you will have to pay them for this service.Basically either way you will have to pay AOL in order to install Smiley Sets otherwise they won’t install.
