MemberThere is also a alleged fix on http://www.realphx.com. Originally you had to pay to get it, but now they have released a program to remove the av.exe file that is the adware. If you don’t feel comfortable using the program that they supply to remove it and it’s other components, which is found Here, you can go Here and follow the supplied instructions to remove it. I’d suggest immediately changing any AIM passwords that have been saved during your period of infection because the Realphx.com adware, or trojan.sinkin, sends the information that is stored in your registry about AIM to a remote host of it’s own.

MemberAwesome! I’ve been looking for a version of this game for my computer….real cows are just too damn expensive.
Anyone up for some more bovine action? Head to http://www.bovinebazaar.com/cowgame.htm Cow Cow Cows!
“Udder Insanity” is my favorite 😉Zlink123
MemberHomestarrunner.com is awesome! My cousin discovered it a few months ago, and within a couple of hours of finding it we had watched everything and laughed so much that we our asthma was acting up. I think my favorites are the episodes/stories/thingys that have “Strong Sad” in them….halarious! Everyone, go check it out if you want a helluva lot of laughing…just make sure you’re not drinking any milk…

MemberNo, there is not a program that will delete or lower your warning level.

http://www.ircd-hybrid.comhybrid does not make it difficult to keep people away from your server, if you have general knowledge about IRCop commands. Actually, in combination with hybrid-services (hybserv), you can have complete power over every user and every channel on your server – and I know you like that. 😉
Hybrid most definitely does not give complete control to IRCops. When I say complete control, I mean, being able to intrude upon illegal users in their +spk channels while they are in the process of distrubuting illegal software, or planning an attack on my own network. Yes, I coud just kill them, even gline them. But what good does that do? Past experiences have proven killing and gline-ing to be the worst thing to do! Doing so only encourages a period of mass evasion and dosing! If you ask me, being able to barge in on their conversation is the best defense against such rodents. I don’t know about you, but if I go somewhere and want privacy, I don’t want an IRCop sitting in on the conversation. I can assure you, that after maybe 5 channel switches, they will get tired and leave. And, if they don’t, you can resort to gline-ing.
I’ll agree that being able to limit the power of IRCops is wonderful, I mean, I get real tired of morons killing and killing for no reason. In my mind, though, the IRCop is supposed to be the[/b] all powerful one, the person who is most likely to be able to handle troublesome situations. I certainely don’t want a prankster who enjoys abusing their power at the joystick of my IRC network, so I won’t put him/her there. Instead, I’ll set up some nice services (which, I might add, are quite abundant for IRCu) and give a lower level of power to those youngsters who I really don’t want to trust my world to.
So, now, do you see? Services are for limiting power. IRCops are supposed to be all powerful. What good is a kingdom without a king?
p.s. – Sorry for the extremely late response 😉

MemberIf you are fortunate enough to have linux you could grab a copy of gaim and use their alias feature which allows you to give someones screenname another name that will only show up on your computer….I don’t know of any windows programs that have this feature. I’m not sure about DeadAIM, I stopped using it when it strayed from the freeware path.

MemberAlong with client scipts and eggdrops, many people write bots in full fledged programming languages like C, C++, and Perl (Perl!!!). Although this is much[/b] harder, if you have the ability you can make bots that will whoop the pants off of any client based bot.

MemberIf your on ircu /userip is often available, but disabling this is common practice so don’t expect to get an IRCops ip off of a big network. What are you going to do with their IP anyways….use some lame newbie jackass program to dos them or something….if you think it’ll make you kool, it won’t. People will just hate you.

MemberThe only possible way that I can think of would be writing a program that could tap into your aim connection (while signed on) and send the correct command….I could do it real easily if I knew how to tap into the aim connection while it’s connected :p. Having the ability to do this would be awsome! I’d write some little programs to put random quotes in my profile and change the colors and stuff….that would be great…. 😀

MemberYou could also paste
striked out text hereinto an IM window. This’ll strike out your text. For those linux users out there, you can check out gaim (an AIM client) which has a Strikeout button that resembles the Bold, Underline, and Italic buttons in an IM window on the official AIM client. You can get gaim at http://gaim.sourceforge.net …enjoy 😀Zlink123
MemberYeah….the only way you could use them in you IMs is if you direct connected with the person you wanted to send them to and then pasted them into their IM. This method would work…but it would be slow because each time you sent the image your friend would need to download it from your computer.

MemberI couldn’t get the aimcloner to work either. Another program that is very usefull is DeadAIM. DeadAIM has cloning capabilities.
To find out more about DeadAIM check out his forum https://bigblueball.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3332 .
Or you could check out the DeadAIM site at http://www.jdennis.net .Zlink123
MemberI’m signed on all the time with both AIM and on IRC. I’m actually on the computer for probably 4-5 hours on weekdays and uh…way to much on weekends. :p I’m not always on the computer though, I make sure that I do some type of excercise each day, be it a long bike ride with my dad or Sunday Soccer for my Town. I need to be in shape! :p

MemberWhen you first set up AIM…? MEaning when you installed it, because when you install almost any program (I think AIM) it launches when you are done unless you uncheck an option. Is it a possibility that you finished the installation, AIM started up, and then you ‘X’ed out the buddy list making AIM idle in the taskbar? Wait, thats a lot of stuff to do…and you don’t sound like a moron…*shrug*
