i thought that only worked in earlier versions of aim. if you have like versions above 5.2 you cant do it anymore I dont think.
they are taking away a lot of those though. if you download one you might get a message telling you to upgrade to the latest version.
well I was referring to the screen shot because it says 3415. I just thought someguy03 misspelled it..sorry
on the deadaim forums I asked why they would take away 5.5.3415 before 5.2 and someone said because 5.5.3415 is a beta version and 5.2.3292 is a final release.
not many people actually put down their real name and where they live in that find a buddy thing. I suggest just going into a chat room closest to your area. unles you’re lookingn for a specific person then this wont be any help to you.
but arent those little releases still beta releases? and it gives you the option to be notified if a beta release comes out. I dont get it.
i havent heard of anything where it can be forwarded to your email.. but to your phone. if thats what you’re looking for you can go to where you put up your awayers and click on forward to mobile then sign up for it.
i had this problem with my one screen name. it would sign online on other computers but not my own. after about a week or so it fixed itself tho.
i noticed that everytime I veiwed my mail the amount of MB or whatever stayed the same (5) but thew amount I had in my folder went up each time I veiwed the page. Like the first time it would be I was using 2.5 MB of 5 and then a week later I was using 3.4 MB of 5 and this was without keeping any new emails. So it got to the point where I had the same emails when I was using 2.5 MB but now I was using 6.5 of 5 MB.. I dont get it. now wheni check my mail from the taskbar or from My Aim, it says my email adress, so I click on it and I can get to my messages but im not recieving any more emails because it says im over the limit.. which I think netscape made it so I was over the limit cause I didnt keep getting emails with attachments to add more MB to the 5 MB that I have.
thats not true. when people IM me for help that arent on my buddylist their icon shows up like 5 minutes after talking to them.
i know you dont see them and I agree its pointless if you were to see pop up notifcations for youself. but a coiuple people said they did see notifactions for themselves and im just asking if they are serious but im sure they just misread it.
if they have checked in their preferences to ‘insert away message in profile only’ then no one will see the away message in the IM box regardless if you’re on their list or not. they also have to have it checked to ‘show accept message dialog for users not on my buddylist.’ because if thats not checked then anyone will get through and recieve the awayer in the IM box. most people I think have these checked so its probaly safe to assume if you do IM the person and the awayer doesnt come up, then you arent on their list. but there is always a chance that if you do im them and the away message doesnt come up that they just dont have those 2 things checked in their preferences.
i see when im idle too but im talking about pop up notifications. does it opo up and tel you that you are away..even tho its your SN?
