wait..i dont get it. you have another account but it doesnt work? what do you mean not with privacy?
the only way i know of is to go on another screen name that person may not know about and see if they show up on your other screen name and not your main one.
i have a linksys router and im pretty sure its messing up my aim. i used to have the problem where my aim would sign on and off over and over every few minutes. i fixed that problem by resetting the router everytime i sign online. but now my aim shus down right before i have been on for a day (usually around 22 or 23 hours). my aim just signs me off without warning, no error message or antying. any ideas?
same problem with me. someone said it was my router that was causing the problem so now i reset my router everytime i sign online and then my aim doesnt kick me off but my router is at my computer. that would be a drag if your friend would have to go all the way to the other side of the house just to reset the router. she can try it tho or he.
i havent figured out a way to keep the router working at all times but i wish i knew because it is such a hassle to resetthe router everytime i want to sign online.sorry i dunno what else to tell you..

i had the same problem. someone told me my wireless router was causing the problem so i figured it out on my own that reseting the router (in the back, a little button you push with a pencil or pin or something) and hold it in for about 10 seconds. then my aim works fully until 24 hours and you reset it again (if you are someone who stays on for days at a time). if you sign on and off frequently during the day then you have to reset the router everytime you sign online. i duno why it works but it does, trust me.

evan i had the same problem. its completely fixed now that i have talked to Restricted Rappa on AIM. hetold me stuff to do to fool around with aim and somehow it worked. so IM him if you want and he may be able to help you. he has many ideas.
