oz1215 you are my new most favorite person on the whole entire planet. Don’t mind answering computer questions eh? Sarahtowny may have been kidding, but I’m not!!! Do you have a size preference for questions, or is 200 words or more ok? Ha, had you going didn’t I … but I’m really not kidding!!! Yes I am. No I’m not. Ok, first lets start with the basics … where’s the start button? You can relax, I won’t swamp you – I’m not that brave …. yet!
Tea GrannyMemberArtificial game lengthening! Notice how games are becoming more difficult to play because the button presses need to be faster, exact timed, or a variable of multiple button presses at once. Making you repeat the same thing until you get the exact sequence perfect. They’ve also thrown in a random factor making you repeat something until you get lucky enough to get the right set of circumstances to complete the mission or level. Instead of making games intellectually more complex, they make them faster, or more random. Don’t think, just react. The side effect of this seems to be more swearing and frustration. Which brings me to another point. The older you get the more difficult it becomes to get these reaction times good enough to get through. There are not a lot of gamers my age now, so there isn’t alot being said. What will happen when this huge generation of game players reach the age when game play reactions prevent 80% of your generation from playing or enjoying games? Or do you all plan on giving up gaming as you age? I’ve been told I will die with a controler in one hand, and a cup of tea in the other. So, I know what my answer is!
Tea GrannyMemberThat’s exactly right :D!!! Just how did I become unsubscribed? Or maybe my question should be “how did I stay subscribed”? My email wasn’t filtered or blocked so I knew that wasn’t the problem.
Tea GrannyMemberPerhaps your teacher was simply asking if you could break a law without physically commiting a crime. Like in a conspiracy where you don’t actually commit the crime, but you conspired to commit it.
Tea GrannyMemberI really need to figure out how to use “quotes” from multiple posts. Thanks MrEggsalad (yum) for adding to the list. Someone on the Rare team must agree with you about guys disappearing. I’ve heard that dead guys in Perfect Dark Zero never stop bouncing around after their dead – something about over kill on the ragdoll physics. It does seem odd no matter how much debris falls away from a wall you shoot at, it remains unscathed . Since I never look at a game’s rating, that “peeve” would have never occured to me. AwesomeSauce you have a valid point about Animal Crossing. There is something there for adults. Must be. I have nine towns! It just isn’t the type of game for everyone, and it does look too “cute” for most adults. But then, I’m not most adults. I secretly get pleasure from whacking other villagers with my net. Now, does anyone know if you can make a poll where you can select multiple choices? ie: “choose all of the one’s that apply to you”
April 4, 2006 at 7:50 pm in reply to: WOW, an Online RPG Funeral Gets Ambushed Without Mercy #141810Tea GrannyMemberI’m not sure which is creeping me out more – having a funeral for a real person in a game, or that others used it as an excuse to ambush? I don’t do PC games so I enjoyed your post. Thanks!
Tea GrannyMemberThe idea behind this question was to get enough varied answers to make one. Anything I’d list would be personal dislikes, and wouldn’t reflect a general view. Besides, I don’t know how to make a poll.
Tea GrannyMemberSorry, but I have to give an opinion on this one. I love skin themes. I have the alienware skins that stardock hands out for free. I don’t know squat about skinning or the related programs involved. I would feel totally left out of yet another computer related contest. Perhaps those who know how could create the skins, and the rest of us members could vote on the created skins. The top three skins could be picked (first, second and third place). You already have a “prevent favorites” type of system for voting in place, so hopefully there wouldn’t be “favoritsm”. Better yet, leave the creator’s name off until the voting was complete. That way, everyone at BBB would have some input to the skins – even if it was just voting. You keep emphasizing that BBB is a community. I may be part of a minority that doesn’t understand complex computer issues, but I’d like to feel that I am a part of the community.
Tea GrannyMemberOh sure!?! The boy doing an hourlong “mountfest” doesn’t get mentioned , but the girl showing her “love” for two seconds gets two nods in this topic ;)! They were both equally excited, but she could only “pet” the corner of the box until the boy moved on the other gift. I have to admire that girls patience. I would have been chewing on his fingers trying to get at that box :D! Maybe it’s just the girl-gamer in me, but I felt sorry for her. She just seemed so left out :(.
Tea GrannyMemberThank you MrEggsalad. I’ve been reading your posts too. Everytime I read something of yours I get hungry! Sorry, but your un is one of my fav sandwiches. Me cool!!! *big sigh* If I could only get my son to agree with you. My daughter does! Is 50% a passing grade?
April 3, 2006 at 3:04 pm in reply to: A little rabbit movie site….not for the very young though…. #138868Tea GrannyMemberFinally!!! Movies I can stay awake long enough to watch all the way through!
Tea GrannyMemberStrange, but I was rather bothered by the girl being left out. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if she only got a barbie. Anyone want to bet they didn’t film her crying because she couldn’t play with his gift?
Tea GrannyMemberThank you for the welcome!
So, I take it you like Sobe Green Tea? No, I haven’t. But …. I’m certainly going to look for it. I haven’t met a tea I didn’t like, and all the tea blends they’re offering sound yummy. Please tell me that’s a real glass bottle it comes in!!!Tea GrannyMemberThank you and merci!!! I appreciate the information.
Thanks for the offer for Windows live. I’m kind of holding off. Seems that one half the people using it love it, the other half hate it. I’m going to wait till the majority say it’s great. Or, until I hear they’ve added different emoticons, winks, and the like!!!
Tea GrannyMemberToo be honest, I didn’t know how they made those stunning visuals. Thank you for that info :). The earlier RE games won awards for their visuals – no surprise. (RE4 cleaned up the awards this past year). The earlier games are really pleasing to the eye, and I have spent hours walking around in the game just looking at things. As for your age, I’m pretty sure an adult had to get the game for you. Which would mean you were either very close to that age, or mature enough to play it. I didn’t think you really young! The way you write shows maturity. I know people who have let eleven year olds play. I don’t agree with that. No one is mature enough at eleven to see that. I have no doubt you will enjoy the games. The only game in that series of RE games that isn’t so good is CVX. It was made by a different team of programers, and they kinda dropped the ball.:(
