Every now and again you come across a post that always needs to resurface because its just that good. Funny post Jeff
I did learn one thing you want to try and avoid when getting pulled over by law enforcement is no matter how much younger the officer is than you. It is not alright to say. “whats the problem son”. this does make them a bit P.O.’ed
williamleeMembergreat fun post Sarah – I seen one once and I wish I could remember where that had a pop-up that said you reached the end of the internet now go and find a life. that was priceless. Thanks for sharing
williamleeMemberSome things to check:
1. Make sure both parties are using the same version of messenger, or at least the same series. Yahoo states that some functions will not work well if the versions are not matched.
2. Check your connection settings (vs) the other persons. these also should match.
3. Webcam settings broadcasting mode normal / super will work better if both are running the same as well.
4.firewall settles should also match.Note: connection of both computers do not have to match but to broadcast a good solid feed the faster the connection speed the better. also if one or both of you are on dial-up cam may broadcast choppy at best.
Note2: The more your systems match the better chances are are to watching and broadcasting cam feeds.
Keep in mind: Yahoo messenger is a free service so service will be slow in resolving issuses or fixing things on their side. They also are always trying to repair something so what works today may not work tomorrow due to yahoo trying new things.
Log any changes you make this way troubleshooting becomes a lot easier.
williamleeMemberhave someone pat your back like a baby so you burp and if no one is around pat at the top of your chest to burp. if I can mustard a burp which sounds gross but can do at any given moment the hiccup will stop.
they say hiccups are usually from eating too quickly and air gets trapped which causes spasms the burp expels the air trapped.williamleeMemberI have gotten this message before and what had happened was someone was trying to gain access to my account by using ramdom passwords and when they used the limit yahoo allows it will cause a temp. block for them and pop this message up on the screen. while I was chatting with a friend under invisable mode.
I would have never figured it out if it wasn’t for knowing who was doing this. To make a long story short i have one friend and we do this to each other as a game (not in a harmful manner) and he had told me he tried until he was blocked and it just so happened to be the same time this problem occurred.
So to confirm this we did it again under controlled situation and true enough it happened.
For the other message (You have been signed off because you logged in from another computer). The person trying would have gained your password and booted you off while going on.
williamleeMemberI use to get this message when one of my friends accidently blocked me. when they unblocked me the problem went away. good luck
williamleeMemberNow thats strange.
I would check this friends settings under the preferences. The closer the settings match the better.
Although I have never heard of this problem before I would start with the basics such as how both of you line up with your connections and webcam settings. if theirs is different and since you only have this problem with them have them change theirs to match yours.
A question may be asked if this friend has the same issues with others they cam with. because this problem could be no fault of your own. I am thinking it is their problem because you stated yours works fine with everyone else.
williamleeMemberabout 10 years ago I lived in an apartment on the first floor and had a couple who lived above me. their bedroom and mine was stacked so I could hear their nightly sessions (if you know what I mean). I didnt listen on purpose and even would play the radio to try and drown them out. but seemed like the higher the music went so did they.
They must have been a perfect match because this was an every night thing that lasted at least 2 hours. I tried changing my bed time but that only lasted a night or two. it seemed like they knew just the perfect time I go to bed.
I finally was able to confront the male and told him that sounds travelled from his room to mine, he said what do you mean. I didnt want to be rude but well I seen no other way. I said look every night when you and your woman have sex I can hear every sound.
He said really, I said yeah man. He said ok thanks but just so you know I am not home at night I work night shift. ooppppsssss. I moved shortly after.

To enable Scripting:Click the Tools menu on your Internet Explorer toolbar, select Internet Options, and select the Security tab.
Click the Internet (globe) icon and select the Custom Level button.
Scroll down to Scripting and make sure that Active scripting, Allow paste operations via script, and Scripting of Java applets are all enabled.
Finally, close all open IM windows. You should start seeing text in your IM windows once again.williamleeMemberThat brings back a blast from the past lol knew a classmate named Gay Hindside, however I never remember anyone picking at him about it, but then he was one of the strongest kids I knew.

williamleeMemberI was re-reading you beginning post and you said that you got a charter rep. to help you uninstall something. Did he/she have you go into your registry and remove items. From what your saying it sounds like you have a file missing. I thought at first it could have been an error but I am taking that you did the scan disk for xp on all your drives and if that didn’t fix it then sounds like a file is missing.
williamleeMembersee if this is what you have in mind.

July 31, 2006 at 1:37 pm in reply to: Yahoo Messenger connecting and disconnecting frequently #149586williamleeMemberI had this problem pop up when I first downloaded the new 8 version of messenger. I had it set to start up when I logged online.
I found out that removing it out of my startup menu and starting it up manually solved the problem of this restarting. keeping in mind I got the version while it was still in BETA and they have fixed a lot of things but this maybe something they haven’t addressed yet.
I do not know if this will help you but it did help me. good luck.
williamleeMembersorry I wasn’t thinking that you maybe running a different windows follow the link below will give you a step by step instuctions how you run a scan disk for windows xp.
