There is a feature on AOL that makes you go invisible so people wont be able to see that you’re on the AOL screen name. That would solve your problem.

The new version has that problem, it is like in beta. They will probally make a new version to fix it soon. There is nothing you can do right now, just get an older version.

It used to work but not anymore. I do not think there are any website with IM forwarding except the official AIM website.

Well if you think its because of MSN, then uninstall it because its a beta version so there may be bugs like the one you’re having. Get an MSN that is not beta. And degrade your AIM to 5.2 because that is the best version.

Sorry I just noticed that.. pretty lame, why the hell did they take that out. AIM is getting worse with every new version they put out.
First get “Trojan Guarder” from http://www.download.com (type it in the search box). This will get rid of all the trojans on your computer. After that, try to see if AIM works, if not reinstall AIM then try again. If it still doesn’t work, [Contact information removed – Please don’t request personal contact]

Try to do the Windows Update, it may fix the problem.
I had the same error when I talk to people on AOL, and im pretty sure the cause was because I updated Windows Update. But they just released another update and I updated it and now it works. So try that and email me at [Stop asking for personal contact] with the result.

You basically cant do anything unless you have the persons password so theres no point. I dont remember but its pretty lame because you need the persons password to do anything. If you dont know the password, its just like regular AIM.

This has been going on for a while, but it just stopped tonight. I think its because the new Windows Update fixed it. For those people who emailed me recently about this problem, I replied back to you. But you should do the Windows Update, and it should fix the problem. Hope it works for you =)

It is under Bitmaps, search for the pictures that matches the one on the IM window and delete them.

On the signon screen, click on setup, then click on “Sign on/off” on the side. Click on the Connections button on the screen that shows up. Uncheck the “Connect with proxy” box, and then press AutoConfigure and see if that will fix it.
