MemberAs I said it’s a rush release to try and get it out before peoples subscriptions started to run out. I’ve had no problems sending files to MSN though and I use mIRC for IRC as I found Trillians IRC a bit memory intensive in very full rooms. My main gripe is the way it handles formatting tags on Yahoo. Really sloppy code. But all in all a good upgrade from version 1.
My main question is that seeing how Trillian now calls home to check your username and password what happens once your subscription ends?

MemberI think you are confusing colour and font tags with normal HTML.

MemberNot going to start a new thread but RC3 is out now. Sometimes makes you wonder if it’s worth downloading them.

MemberPah, I am in Europe and can send SMS from the net with no problem =op
With lycos it can be a pain in the arse I admit. ICQ should send to every country though.
I found a list of what sites to use to send SMS to different countries – http://fp.marknatalie.f9.co.uk/ff/smsportals1.htm you may find it useful.

MemberPersoinally I use STP (SysTrayplayer) it just sits in the sytray so uses almost no resources. it uses 4.5 megs of memory when playing where as Winamp 2.91 without a skin uses 6.7 just to sit there.
Systray isn’t sknable but then it doesn’t really have a gui. But Why would I want to look at an audio player? The point of music is to either relax to or to listen to whilst doing something else. Even with winamp I minimise it to systray.
The only downside is that STP is old and only supports MP3’s and wavs. It can be found, along with it’s source code, at http://www.netean.com/stp/.
Another MP3 player which has excellent sound quality is Apollo, available from http://www.hut.fi/~hylinen/apollo/. Appolos slogan applies to both these players, “Quality isn’t skinnable”

MemberOreo you could try ICQ’s sms service or try Lycos as they do a free SMS service.

MemberHey JMeyer43 if you can do better then please do but sparks is right. MSN has just changed protocol and up until recently Yahoo’s voice used a changing key that meant even the coders of dedicated Yahoo programs couldn’t make a working voice. If you don’t like Trillian simply don’t use it.

MemberJust a quicky. You forgot to mark Vista as doing IRC.

MemberMSN are killing off all old protocols and only supporting MSN8. Trillian Pro 1.0 uses either MSN5 or MSN6 and as they have the Pro 2 almost finished they are not going to patch Pro 1.0.

MemberA lot of service providers have blocked web based sms messages in an attempt to prvent spam / bombing. Your maybe one of these although this was mainly introduced by British service providers.

MemberYou’re not American by any chance are you? I’ve found that sarcasm always seems to go over Americans heads. =op
My partner always logs in as invisible and as Freddy has stated you simply need to tick the login under invisible box on the login box.
On a different subject whats the point of having statuses on MSN messenger when you can neither send nor receive MSN messages when away!!!

MemberYes I have noticed Yahoo messengers tendency to forget that setting myself. Personally I would suggest using a chat client for use in the rooms instead. Most support webcam now.

MemberBoth ICQ and Yahoo! allow you to specify a folder to share with your friends. On Yahoo they would simply then right click on your name and select “Browser users files” or whatever it says these days. You will get a message each time someone tries to view your file share.
Personally I’d suggest getting something like wwwfileshare which is a small http server. This way you can share your files with everyone regardless of what messenger they are using.

MemberI tried to email him about it but my email kept getting rejected. I think the problem is to do with his POP server not liking .co.uk domains.
