I have that too. But I like JNZ because it lets me log in offline mode. I wanted to run them from JNZ because it will allow me to polygamize and come in under offline mode. Does the universal patch conflict JNZ and prevent it from loading multiple instances? Does anyone who’s used both know?
edit: Just tested out my theory by getting rid of the polygamy thing using the old MSNM with JNZ. There was a conflict between the 2.
That’s the way it’s always been. You have to minimize the away message first. However, you should just be able to click the X, and your buddylist should minimize to the system tray.
Your suggestion helped. For some reason it’s unchecked by default in newer versions of AIM.
Yes I’m well aware of that procedure, but I’m telling you I used to be able to use an emoticon when I typed /away in the chat window. I don’t know why it didn’t work for you, but it did for me.
edit: Meh, I just tried an away message with a default emoticon and those don’t work either now. Right hand raised, it used to work with the old version of Plus.
What I did for away was I’d type /away Getting :coke:, which is my emoticon for a can of Coke. With the old version of Plus, it’d insert the emoticon, but now I just get a blank space.
