That’s just wrong. I hope that dude’s put away for a long time. The kids’ parents should’ve taught them what to do. Just get out of the chat. If parents would teach their kids coping skills, they wouldn’t have to snoop on them and sue websites etc. Kids can be responsible if they’re taught to be.
I use smilies to express myself, esp my customs in MSN. They’re a great way to say it all without actually saying anything. 🙂 😛 :S
I talk more on IM than IRL or on the phone. It’s just so much more comfortable. I’m anonymous and protected.
We had a thing similar to that at my tech school and we sent messages to each other. The teachers didn’t mind as long as we did our work first. I think schools have become way uptight about kids engaging in unauthorized communication. That’s why cellphones are banned in most schools. They don’t like the idea of kids being able to communicate without their consent. Gotta keep the little pions in line after all.
I got that on my phone, but it’s so annoying. It sends messages even when I’m logged in on the computer. If I have an AIM chat and turn on the phone the next day, all the messages I received during the previous chat flood the phone. I logged outta that crap real fast.
No, both people don’t have to have cams to do video chat. One person can transmit an image for the other to watch. However if the guy watching wants to send his message, he’ll need a video cam.
Does this get rid of that damn popup window that appears every so often or just the little ad that appears in the buddylist?
Grrrrr, why haven’t any of these addons been upgraded to work with 5.5? They knew it was coming out. Why didn’t they get their hands on a beta copy and start working on it? 🙁
If I wanted to reshack AIM 5.5, what would I have to look for to get rid of that stupid Internet Explorer ad window that keeps popping up? I killed Wild Tangent and AOD, but I still get that ad.
