All the research I’ve done on google, since the last post came up saying that if you don’t send in the email confirmation, you’re unconfirmed internet, and if you do, you’re just internet… but it really doesn’t matter a bit when you get right down to it, no services are restricted.
Nono, I mean an easy way to add all the buddies from one list to the other without having to go one by one…
All the bugs that you guys are talking about, I have experienced myself… BUT they don’t really exist at all in the *nix versions… Keep in mind that its only been around for windows for a fraction of the time that it has been for *nix.
That’s a pretty awesome idea. I’ve made stuff like this for my own personal use before, but this is awesome for people who don’t know HTML. And great site design on your main website!
SUPPOSEDLY Jim is in cahoots with AOL now and there’s pure SPECULATION that a new version of deadaim is coming out soon. But its all rumor, and the deadaim forums are the worst for rumors and somewhat lax moderators, so who knows for sure. There are some posts over there about some people getting some of the features to work with 5.5 some of the time. So it’s not a safe bet that you can get ANYTHING to work… but you should at least check out their forums and see what you think… http://www.jdennis.net

I love gAIM but I CAN’T use it anymore. The lack of a decent file transfer system just ruined it for me… I was going back and forth but that got old, so I’m back to AIM, and looking for an addon that actually works with the new 5.5.
BUT I have to agree that if the file transfer were up to snuff, it would definitely be the best out there.

Personally, I think you’re the first person to have a negative viewpoint on this topic who has calmly stated it and made some decent point with it. Although I don’t agree with your point, THANK YOU for not just bashing Otsego, FIXER, Team FX, and everyone involved. You showed general respect to the forum readers and the developers, and although many may disagree with you, I do appreciate, as I’m sure others will as well, your cool-headed take on it. You’re the first person to make this point without being a butt about it.I still think and hope it’s real, and I anticipate its release, but seriously, thanks for not just going off the deep end and bashing it.
Another thought: I’d like to see a new poll called “Do you think Otsego is real?” *LOL*
unconfirmed internet I always thought meant that you haven’t confirmed your account… because when I signed in with sn’s I hadn’t confirmed it said that, but just “internet” when I signed in with ones I HAVE confirmed.
With all the things he’s already written for aim, and the fact that he knows how to write an odl… then why wouldn’t he be able to compile that together to make an addon?
Well now I have to figure out which ones I want to keep! *LOL*
I do like the idea, and I love the anti-spam agreement. Looks like it’ll be less annoying now
It’s basically the bare bones aim addon… it’s an addon that does nothing basically, you have to add all the functionality in yourself
Hey, thanks for the update, I wouldn’t have known otherwise… for some reason AIM didn’t notify me that there was a new one out. It looks good!
