Damn!I hope they finish tuning it soon cause i’ve had enough of it really.Do you think that Y! messenger 7.5 will be able to support these changes or they’ll start making a new version soon?
StrigoiMemberOk so there’s a lead, see if their mail is missing too and take it from there ๐
May 22, 2006 at 4:56 pm in reply to: When we are online, how can our friend check our multiple ids from other computer? #144831StrigoiMemberCould you tell us more about your friend, did he add your new id on his list?did he had any of the other ids too?
StrigoiMemberWell i experienced a strange thing as i was playing around with trillian and yahoo messenger. It seems that if you’re on trillian and you try to add an offline friend to your list, that friend doesnt get the add request but only a short message saying something like “offline message was sent to you at 25:64”
I dont know if this is accurate but i think its worth looking into it ๐StrigoiMemberI have a question about deny-a-buddy programs. When one uses such a program does it erases the mail from the mail list, cause i think the id list and the mail list work independently. And if so,could niq tell us if the mail addresses have gone too?
StrigoiMemberYeah that actually works ShadowG,thats exactly what happens when somebody has you on offline.I have one question though, what if that person has put you on the ignore list, you’ll still see them offline. Is there anyway to know you’ve been blocked?
StrigoiMemberhttps://bigblueball.com/forums/yahoo-messenger-support/35492-need-help.html the problem is explained here.
StrigoiMemberOr you could set the messenger to show you a dialog box when somebody signs out if thats not too much trouble for you.The dialog box will stay on your desktop until you close it so this way you’ll never miss anybody signing out.
StrigoiMemberlol they did the same thing at my school…e-messenger.net doesnt work either,or meebo…but for some reason skype was not blocked. But i dont wanna use skype :((
Its not about the rules, the computers would probably work over time, all the time if messenger worked but…it would be nice to at least be able to see who’s online while i’m at school, sweating and suffering for education ๐StrigoiMemberThis problem has been annoying me all day!I have a group of people that i’m offline to and i’m online for everybody else.I havent had any problems with it til now but it seems that now if i change my status to something custom,i appear online to that group too.I have no idea how to change this but its one of the reasons i stopped using Trillian…just hope they fix it soon cause i like my custom status but i also like my privacy, meaning i dont want that specific group of people seeying my status!
By the way i have messenger 7,XP SP2,the privacy option is set to not let sites show i’m online, basically i’ve done everything to ensure i dont have such issues…StrigoiMemberIts not an error dbolgar. My guess is that somebody is trying to sign in with your ID.It doesnt matter if you change your password of not,as long as somebody is TRYING to sign in as you,you still get booted. You can either figure out who’d want to have acces to your personal things or change your ID…a fight against wind mills if you ask me ๐
StrigoiMemberBasically what you need is Command Prompt which every computer has,go there and type netstat and hit enter. That will give you the Ip addresses, ports and some other stuff that your computer is connected to…Now there were a few aditional commands but i cant remember them right now, best thing is to see the help file on NETSTAT.Which of course you can also find on your computer at Help ๐
Next thing you do is figure out which ip is the one you want, that is if you’re talking to more people and so on and then go on the net and look for a site like http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm type in the ip you want and voila! There you have it.I need to tell you that this isnt going to get you anywhere as many IP’s are located in Washington for example cause thats where the Internet provider who gave the user its IP is located or so..for example american army in Irak, they all have IP’s in Washington…What i’m trying to say is that the method is silly and so are the results.I dont know what your purpose with this might be but dont expect big things to happen ๐
Bye byeStrigoiMemberIts 811 and i have XP SP2 ๐
StrigoiMemberFirstly you have to unzip just the folder containing the skin files, make sure there’s not a folder in folder. And secondly you have to restart messenger to see them added in the list.Other than that,i’ve had some problems with skins too, some arent compatible, some are ment to be used with another program or something…I’ve reached the conclusion that “home made” skins lack alot of features and dont blend properly and i’ve kinda givent up on them.So i only use the official ones ๐
StrigoiMembernikolas wrote:You can use the files in the attached .zip to remove the advertisement and the “Phone In” and “$0.00” stuff from the bottom of Yahoo! Messenger 7.5. Just replace the res_msgr.dll in your C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger folder with the one in this .zip and run the .reg file. (Do all this with Yahoo! Messenger closed), and you’re good to go.OH I LOVE YOU!!!This is great,it takes away the whole ad box and the “phone out” “phone in” line.I had already used Dermot’s ad removal program but the place that held the ad was still there and it bothered me,but now its so cool!!! ๐
Thanks alot Nikolas! -
